Welcome to the First Ever D&D Tournament in Cyprus!

S&L and The 3D Merchants proudly invite you to join an epic three-part adventure starting in September 2024. Gather your party, and dive into a thrilling competition where teams vie for glory and the grand prize!

The Adventure Awaits:

  1. Part 1: Making Allies

How the Tournament Works:

Entrance Fee €25 per Player

Prize pool depending on volume of Players

Teams will compete in an objective-based system where every action counts. Earn points by completing various objectives, and the team with the most points at the end wins the tournament!

How to Gain Points:

  • Meet the Objectives: Follow the pre-defined objectives to earn points.

  • Roleplay: Immerse yourself in your character and the story.

  • Interact with the Terrain: Utilise the environment to your advantage.

  • Engage with NPCs: Build alliances, gather information, and more.

  • Solve Quests: Use your wits to complete challenges within the time limit.

How to Lose Points:

  • Dying: Points are deducted when reviving fallen comrades.

  • Failing Objectives: Missed objectives mean lost points.

  • Time Limit: Running out of time can cost you points.

  • Buying Consumables: Spend your points wisely.

Disclaimer for D&D Tournament at Shakes & Lattes

1.⁠ ⁠Designated Characters Only: Players must choose from designated characters provided by us. No custom characters are allowed.

2.⁠ ⁠Entry Fee Payment: Entry fees must be paid in full and instore within 7 days of booking an available time slot. Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in the cancellation of your booking.

3.⁠ ⁠Cancellations and Replacements: Cancellations are non-refundable. However, you may designate replacement team members if you are unable to attend. Once a slot is booked, it cannot be rebooked on short notice.

4.⁠ ⁠Food and Drink Policy: Outside food and drinks are not permitted. As a café, we offer a variety of food and beverages for purchase.

5.⁠ ⁠Behaviour and Conduct: Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. Participants are expected to maintain a respectful and friendly atmosphere.

6.⁠ ⁠Game Master Authority: The Dungeon Master's decision is final in all matters of gameplay.

7.⁠ ⁠Event Timing: The event is timed. Please be punctual to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

•⁠ ⁠Health and Safety: Please adhere to any current health and safety guidelines during the event.

•⁠ ⁠Personal Belongings: The cafe is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please keep your belongings secure.

•⁠ ⁠Media Release: By participating, you consent to any photographs or videos taken during the event being used for promotional purposes by the cafe.

Tips for building a Balanced Party

  1. Tank

    • Role: Soaks up damage, protects other party members, Deals good damage to enemy..

    • Recommended Classes:

      • Fighter: High hit points and armor, versatile in combat.

      • Paladin: Strong defenses, healing abilities, and support through auras.

      • Barbarian: High hit points, damage resistance, and powerful melee attacks.

    • Why It's Important: The tank draws enemy attacks, preventing squishier party members from being overwhelmed.

  2. Damage Dealer (DPR  high damage per round)

    • Role: Deals significant damage to enemies.

    • Recommended Classes:

      • Rogue: High single-target damage and utility with stealth.

      • Ranger: Versatile in both melee and ranged combat.

      • Sorcerer/Wizard: High burst damage and powerful spells.

    • Why It's Important: DPR characters reduce the number of threats quickly, making fights more manageable.

  3. Support/Healer

    • Role: Provides healing, buffs, and debuffs.

    • Recommended Classes:

      • Cleric: Strong healing and versatile spellcasting.

      • Druid: Healing, buffs, and the ability to shapeshift.

      • Bard: Healing, buffs, debuffs, and a wide range of utility spells.

    • Why It's Important: Support characters keep the party healthy and enhance their abilities, turning the tide of battle.

  4. Utility/Control

    • Role: Handles a variety of non-combat situations, controls the battlefield.

    • Recommended Classes:

      • Wizard: Spells for crowd control, utility, and knowledge skills.

      • Bard: Skill versatility, social prowess, and a wide range of spells.

      • Rogue: Expertise in skills, traps, and stealth.

    • Why It's Important: Utility characters solve problems outside of combat and control the flow of encounters with spells and abilities.

  5. Versatile Hybrid

    • Role: Fills gaps and adapts to various situations.

    • Recommended Classes:

      • Bard: Can switch between roles with ease, great at convincing NPC’s to assist.

      • Monk: Balanced in combat and exploration.

      • Warlock: Combines spellcasting with decent damage output.

    • Why It's Important: A versatile hybrid can adapt to the party's needs, providing support where it's needed most.

Example Balanced 5-Player Party

  1. Fighter (Tank): Protects allies with high AC and hit points, able to deal good damage to opponents.

  2. Rogue (DPR/Utility): Delivers high damage and handles traps and stealth missions.

  3. Cleric (Support/Healer): Keeps the party alive with healing and buffs, with wide range of spells.

  4. Wizard (Utility/Control): Controls the battlefield and provides solutions to non-combat challenges, widest possibility of spell choices.

  5. Bard (Versatile Hybrid): Fills gaps, supports with spells, and enhances the party's capabilities with NPC's.

Tips for Building Your Party

  • Communicate: Discuss your character choices with your group to ensure you cover all key roles.

  • Flexibility: Choose subclasses and spells that complement your party's needs.

  • Backup Plans: Have secondary roles (e.g., a Paladin who can also heal) to adapt to different situations.
